Todd Mingramm
Introduced to surfing by his father at age 8 Todd quickly became fascinated by the water surfing everyday and competing by the age of 10
Todd has competed in the Australian titles ever since entering the under 14′s division all the way to the open division an was selected by Elouera Boardriders Club to compete in teams events interstate, he also became Junior club champ and in later years open champ for a number of years.
In his teens Todd was Sponsored by Billabong and other big name brands and competed interstate on the Pro junior series and overseas at a WQS level (world qualifying series,) gaining contest results and magazine coverage Todd became a household name on the surf scene!
In his early 20′s Todd took a job in California working for Josh Baxter(pro surfer) and son of Jackie Baxter(pipeline pioneer of the 60′s) at his surf camp in San Clamente. Todd worked alongside Josh as his right hand man and after a few seasons gaining skills and knowledge Todd returned home to Australia and became head coach at Blake Johnston (professional surfer) surf school Cronulla Surfing Academy furthering his coaching reputation.
In the mean time Todd was introduced to Standup Paddleboarding by friend Dane Wilson (professional longboarder and standup paddlesurfer.) Due to an on going back injury from a accident in his early teens paddleboarding helped to assist Todd with core strength and injury rehab. After a few sessions Todd was hooked and there was no turning back, the physical benefits were so rewarding and the enjoyment and excitement for a new challenge was the birth of a new passion and love!
Todd also currently holds the position of course presenter for the Surfing Australia Standup Paddleboard Accreditation Courses.
